The team (1) answers questions from business and legal/compliance colleagues by researching and analyzing Medicare guidance and advise on business strategy and initiatives; (2) analyzes new and revised regulatory requirements and other guidance as well as support the business in understanding and implementing them; (3) supports regulatory advocacy (formal rulemaking and ad hoc) by providing regulatory analysis and facilitating development of advocacy material and strategy; and (4) supports the internal and external attestation processes to meet regulatory and contractual obligations. The team's customers are the relevant business partners and corresponding legal and compliance partners.This role requires someone who has excellent attention to detail and organizational skills but who can also interact with our top executives who have final sign-off on many of the required attestations. The role requires coordination and obtaining approval from many other various business partners too. This position also has additional opportunities for expanded regulatory responsibilities. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Project managing internal and external attestation processes to meet our regulatory and contractual obligations to Medicare & Retirement's external regulator CMS, requiring managing multiple time-sensitive projects and priorities Managing access to Health Plan Management System (HPMS) for the entire enterprise and updating contracts, contacts, and other required data in HPMS Leading the Medicare & Retirement offshoring committee which handles offshoring requests from across the enterprise for work done for Medicare & Retirement Managing the team SharePoint, policies and procedures, and other technology-related duties You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience working in health care, managed care and/or health insurance Experience interfacing with key individuals including C-suite or executive leadership levels to determine solutions and outcomes If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.
