The Opportunity-

This is a new opportunity in the Twin Cities northwest metro area. We anticipate you are someone who can serve as an in-charge CPA. You would regularly develop relationships with new clients and gain confidence of existing clients being transferred from a trusted professional. Not only would the goal be to move toward an equity position in the firm, but in doing so enjoy contributing to the success of clients and communities. This would be done in a smaller firm environment with a balanced lifestyle, competitive compensation and benefits.

The Place-

With our office in Monticello and a significant office presence in Elk River, we are a well respected firm in the area. We emphasize income tax and estate-succession planning and compliance. Our clients represent a wide range of medium to small sized, family owned or privately held business; as well as individuals, trusts and estates. We are diligent in applying professional standards to prepare financial statement audits, reviews and compilations. Several local not-for-profit entities are also among those we serve. You can expect to be mentored and at the same time develop mentoring skills.

The Person-

The best fit would be someone who is personable, appreciates a challenge, can technically review the work of others and receive review of their work. It is anticipated that the applicant has well developed professional skills, significant client contact and served in leadership roles.

Minimum Requirements

?? A minimum of 4 years of experience working for a public accounting firm.

?? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

?? CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam and meet the unit/credit requirement to obtain a CPA license (CPA license is highly preferred).

Responsibilities

?? Preparation of business and individual income tax returns and related planning.

?? Provide consulting services to clients.

?? Manage tasks independently

?? Provide review and mentoring to staff associates

?? Monitor various projects and manage workflow
