The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

Wells Fargo Strategic Sourcing is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager 2 who will be responsible for leading a team of Strategic Sourcing professionals to align and execute enterprise sourcing strategies and supplier capabilities for commodities and spend categories to achieve enterprise-wide business objectives for the Human Resource, Talent Acquisition, and Benefits categories. This manager will be developing a strong working relationship with assigned LOB customers, suppliers and internal departments and obtain a thorough functional knowledge of the organization, performance measures and information flows. They will be responsible for spend categories and/or LOB relationships exceeding $1B in annual expenditures and manage vendors and relationships from a life-cycle perspective with a focus on identifying new sources and technologies, reducing cost/spend, increasing customer satisfaction, and maximizing business.

Additionally this role will:

  • Determine the deal strategy and directs negotiations of high visibility, complex supplier agreements to maximize value and minimize exposure.
  • Review and approve Strategic Sourcing policies, processes, strategy, and/or enterprise program recommendations.
  • Develop annual cost savings programs and be accountable for developing and implementing business strategies that directly affect company financial results.
  • Collaborates with Lines of Business senior management to align business priorities and establish tactical and strategic business objectives.
  • Manage a team of category experts that has responsibility for enterprise-wide supplier initiatives, negotiations, and contracting activities. Responsible for supply chain / strategic sourcing strategy development, process disciplines, and implementation of management systems used to achieve desired results.
  • Proactively maintain understanding of various industry and supply chain/strategic sourcing best practices, and commodity/spend category benchmarks.
  • Assist in the design and development of tools and process improvements to optimize sourcing efficiencies and measure supplier performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in direct sourcing, contract management, or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of management experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of contract negotiation
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of sourcing methodology
  • Financial services experience
  • Ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships for products or services including: contract negotiation, oversight, and SLA management
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctor (JD)



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Significant experience sourcing, negotiating and contracting professional services, travel, meetings & events, software, and outsourcing efforts.
  • Proven history of leading successful Enterprise level initiatives and cross functional teams, including strategy development, engagement, execution, fulfillment, change management, communications, and senior level stakeholder engagement and partnership.
  • Strong team member development skills
