This position is also responsible for the coordination and supervision of all maintenance activities at the property including work direction to the onsite maintenance mechanics and service contractors.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain the Facilities Management tools/technology CMMS systems.Prioritize and delegate work amongst team members. Assist contractors with preventative maintenance and repairs that fall outside of the scope of the Land O'Lakes facilities maintenance daily duties, assignments, and professional abilities.Coordinate and maintain all required safety training per the Land O'Lakes safety operating procedures for facilities maintenance staff as well as contractors.Troubleshoot and operate within the mechanical HVAC Building Automation System (BAS).Operate a high-pressure steam boiler while maintaining state required safety records and licensing.Respond to work requests while portraying a positive image and demeanor in a professional office environment. Work requests include but are not limited to mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, janitorial and hospitality services.Coordinate vendor and contractor relations on projects, repairs and established service level agreements.Partner with pilot plant and R operations and management providing utility support, schedule alignment and maintenance of associated equipment including process chiller, high pressure steam boiler, refrigeration and water treatment systemsOperate the fire protection panel associated, hardware, software and equipment including Simplex 4100ES, and Simplex TruSite Workstation.Identify and implement continuous improvement and process optimization for increased efficiencies including energy/cost saving opportunities with incentives and rebates.Test, inspect and maintain life safety systems including but not limited to eyewash stations, safety showers, and backup power generator.Act as a building representative in monthly Food Innovation Technology(R) safety meetings.Be a resource and back-up to the Facilities Manager.Must be available to work a required rotating on-call schedule in addition to occasional overtime as needed.Education and Experience:Associate Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technologies or Construction, Building Technology, HVAC, Plumbing, or Electronic/Electrical or relevant working experience in lieu of an associate degree.A minimum of 5+ years relevant maintenance experience strongly desiredMinnesota Special Boilers License or completion of license upon 90 days of hire required.Second Class B engineer license required within 12-18 months of hire required.Specific licenses, certificates (i.e. HVAC, refrigeration systems, high pressure boiler license) or the ability to acquire necessary licenses and certificates as needed to support the building needs.Strong knowledge and experience throughout the Microsoft Suite, written and verbal communication skills required.Adept at technology that supports facilities management (i.e. Archibus, Express Maintenance).Knowledgeable of national, state and local building codes and the impact to the building operations, OSHA and NFPA 70E standard.Experience with DCS/DDS controls and energy management systems programming and operation for Compass by Alerton.Land O'Lakes, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) M/F/Vets/Disabled.
