Where we are going: We expanded to a new larger location in Carver, Minnesota in the end of 2019. Investments in new machinery has improved our capabilities we are able to offer our customers as well. Lakeview is growing, and it is a very exciting time.

How you can help: We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant who is self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and is eager to learn and grow with our company. This position is a new role to our company needed as we continue to grow. You will manage processes and procedures, partner with leaders and new hires and provide overarching HR support with exposure to all aspects of HR. *this is not a remote position*

This might be a good fit if you can:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR management.
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Manage Lakeview's training completion throughout the company.
  • Assist with benefit administration and communication with external vendors and complete benefit vendor invoices.
  • Receive employee absences and maintain proper records of employee attendance and leaves.
  • Complete miscellaneous research, reports, ordering of supplies and memos as requested.
  • Assist HR Manager in policy formulation, hiring and salary administration.
  • Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates and schedule job interviews.
  • Assist in conducting initial orientation to newly hired employees.
  • Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees.
  • Maintain employee communication monitors.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc) and complete after payroll reports.
  • Work on special projects for the HR team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to be successful:

  • Successful candidate should have an bachelor's degree in HR or related field experience
  • Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens and gets clarification and responds well to questions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer Skills: Must be able to use common office software
  • Effective oral/written communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Being open to new ideas
  • "Open to change" adjust with ease
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks accurately within acceptable and/or requested deadlines.
