Learn more about Aeon at .Position SummaryWe are seeking a Temporary Receptionist who is customer service driven, experienced, and reliable to join our team, officing out of Aeon's Central Office in the North Loop of Minneapolis. This talented, motivated and energetic professional will deliver a high level of customer service and will be regarded as the "Director of First Impressions" to our residents, staff, housing applicants, funders and vendors. The Receptionist will enjoy working with a diverse population of people while providing wide-ranging general office support with a variety of administrative activities and related tasks in a busy office environment. This position will report to the IT Manager.Key position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Professionally administer incoming calls and redirect accordingly; provide information regarding Aeon's housing as requestedGreet all guests in a professional, friendly, and hospitable mannerProvide wide-ranging administrative and clerical support for all program areas including data entry, faxing, copying, scanning, filing, word processing, and label productionProvide administrative support to the Human Resources department; some key responsibilities are placing job postings, uniform distribution and maintaining various tracking formsEnsure the smooth operations and needs of our workspace by working with building managementManage office vendor relationships and maintenance of office machines Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers; perform outgoing mail activitiesProcurement and maintenance of all office/kitchen suppliesMaintain common areas of office such as work room, conference rooms, kitchen, and common areas to ensure neat and professional appearance; keep them well-stockedSupport for special projects including research and gathering data on various topicsManage Aeon's reference library and database to ensure all materials are accounted for and easily accessiblePerform other duties as requiredSkills & Qualifications Minimum of two recent and consecutive years of customer service, receptionist, or administrative support experience preferred Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional phone etiquette, with an ability to engage in high level customer service that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations of residents, staffs, vendors, community members, etc... Must demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy with a strong focus on delivering superior customer service to internal and external peopleIntermediate computer skills including Internet, Microsoft Office and Outlook - database experience helpfulDemonstrated ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracyIndependent judgment to plan and prioritize multiple requests and execute a diverse workloadAbility to apply effective time management and self-management skills in a busy work environment; ability to meet deadlines despite regular interruptionsSolid and proven work ethic with the ability to work independently and on a teamOutstanding organizational skillsAbility to identify and resolve problems effectivelyExperience managing office equipment a plusDuration, Hours, location & Pay This temporary, full-time position will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm from July 19th through August 9th. It will office 100% in-person out of Aeon's Central Office, 901 North 3rd Street Suite#150 Minneapolis, MN 55401. This position pays $16/hr.
