Civil Project Engineer - Construction Services

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

AET is seeking a motivated candidate for a staff engineer role in our Construction Materials Testing group. This position will focus on developing project management through hands-on project experience. Lab and field work may include performing reinforcing steel inspections and excavation observations. This position has project management responsibilities including coordinating and monitoring work and maintaining communication on assigned projects. An ideal candidate would partner with managers, engineers, project managers, technicians and interns to deliver excellent service for clients.

IN THIS JOB, YOU WILL:

• Prepare proposals, oversee client and team communication, and monitor project performance
• Perform field and lab observations, inspections, and testing
• Prepare reports and other documentation
• Build and maintain client and business relationships.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Construction Engineering, or Geological Engineering
• 3 or more years of experience in an engineering or science related field
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Geologist in Training (GIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE)
• Maintain valid driver's license and acceptable driving record and maintain compliance with DOT driver regulations
• Capable of the physical labor required, with personal protective equipment
