Position Description

The Conveyor Applications Representative is primarily responsible for developing the highest level of customer and distributor satisfaction by providing timely, professional, and technically sound standard conveyor and L1 ETO solutions and quotations as well as application assistance and guidance. The Conveyor Applications Rep supports customers, distributors, RMs, customer service, and other Sales Support teams by promptly fielding incoming phone calls, emails, and faxes and handling inquiries for standard product and L1 ETO application questions and quote requests, customer product testing, non-standard price questions, and D-Tools questions. The position also handles L1 ETO order entry as required, proposal drawings (CAD) for standard, and L1 ETO quotes as needed. This position acts as the initial point of contact for customers and distributors with regards to all conveyor application inquiries. The Conveyor Applications Rep will transfer L2 & 3 ETO quote requests to a Proposal Engineer.

Essential Functions :

Providing customers, distributors, and RM's with application assistance and guidance

Pricing and creating standard and L1 ETO quotations

Preparing CAD proposal drawings

Conducting product testing to confirm application solutions.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education : Bachelor's Degree Experience: 2-3 years in a similar position within a technical product line or equivalent related experience plus: Strong mechanical aptitude.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Appropriate computer and AutoCAD skills.

Other Requirements (Desirable Training): Mechanical and/or electrical training Customer service or sales training Dorner service training.
