The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company's risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo's risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The Customer Tax Business Implementation Leader key responsibilities:

* Will oversee and execute upon the goals of Enterprise Customer Tax Utility (ECTU) business integration efforts.
* Manage the Business Implementation team within the ECTU group.
* Provide support to vertical businesses to onboard and integrate into the ECTU.
* Oversee the phasing in of businesses across Wells Fargo by collaborating with partners in the business, ECTU, and Technology.
* Ensure implementation of businesses is effective, efficient, and complete in planning and execution.
* Work collaboratively with teams of tax, operations, technology, consultants, and line of business to build out consistent approach. Oversee buildout of business specific business requirements and functional documentation for integration.
* Manage the current state analysis to understand the systems of record and data file layouts businesses are able to provide.
* Integrate into ECTU and the build-out of the strategic approach to onboarding businesses into the ECTU.
* Implement the governance framework of ECTU and facilitate a repeatable framework for onboarding of new lines of business across the Enterprise Customer Tax Utility over the next few years.
* Develop Data Migration framework and strategy and manage data mapping activities for integration.
* Build-out Service Level Agreements (SLAs) of the ECTU team and engage businesses to provide agreement and sign-off. Develop relationships within businesses to ensure seamless transition into ECTU.
* Develop and oversee Control documentation for entry into the ECTU (Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, Target Operating model, etc.).
* Develop a framework for assembling information and other Key Performance Indicator/Key Risk Indicator (KPI/KRI) data as needed or required.
* Once the ECTU operating model is firmly established, the focus in this accountability will be the identification of additional areas of synergies across the Enterprise and the on-going/BAU support efforts to build upon the ECTU program and platforms.
* Build, develop and maintain a high performing implementation team through effective hiring, coaching and rigorous performance/talent management processes.
* Foster a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable.
* Provide clear direction to staff to accomplish work that cuts across all tax operations businesses.

* Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications

* 8+ years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: business process, quality assurance, strategic planning, or project management
* 6+ years of management experience

* Demonstrated success in sponsoring and advising project teams
* Skilled in leading change across a complex business organization
* Skilled in serving as technical expert and decision maker on highly complex tax issues.
* Demonstrated success in independently assessing tax implications on financial products and making business and technology decisions based on knowledge and research of complex tax code, laws, and regulations with minimal oversight.
* Demonstrated success in building strong collaborative business relationships and partnerships, leveraging those relationships to fully understand and vet complex issues.
* Ability to take complex tax issues, identify the corresponding business implications, and communicate those issues ad implications to individuals at all levels with a variety of backgrounds.
* Ability to facilitate the creation of common, controlled solutions that encompass different business needs and drivers through the enablement of technology solutions
* Professional credentials in the field of taxation and/or accounting (Certificate in Tax and Financial Planning, Enrolled Agent, Certified Management Account (CMA), CPA, JD, LLM in Taxation, Masters in Taxation, etc.)
