The Income Collections Department within Trust and Custody Operations currently has an opening for a Securities Operations Service Specialist 3 (SOSS 3) to join the team in Minneapolis, MN. This individual will be responsible for the daily reconciliation of incoming maturity payments from our depositories (DTC and Federal Reserve Bank), along with managing other maturity and income processes. The incumbent will cross-train on other department functions to provide back up and/or assistance as needed. The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate flexibility, the ability to employ logic, and take an active interest in the business.

The SOSS 3 performs a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require extensive securities knowledge. Adherence to guidelines, procedures, and regulations is a critical part of this role. All members of this team must be flexible and able to stay until all job responsibilities are completed for the day.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

??? Review, analyze and reconcile various types of bond income and maturity announcements and payments for trust and custody held assets
??? Reconcile projected/allocated maturity payments against Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Federal Reserve Bank, and other payment sources
??? Determine account entitlement for upcoming income and maturity payment events
??? Process rollover and maturity requests for Repurchase Agreement (Repo) and Reverse Repurchase trades
??? Review and reconcile collateral movements associated with Repurchase Agreement (Repo) maturities
??? Calculates payment amounts by using factors and rates obtained from various data sources
??? Acts as liaison between business lines and information agents in resolving customer inquiries
??? Perform a variety of operational tasks that require extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems
??? Monitor operating and suspense account differences for timely resolution
??? Processes formal claims for entitled funds not received by Wells Fargo Bank
??? Validates and pays income claims issued against Wells Fargo Bank
??? Creating or revising departmental procedures
??? Provide department level reporting using multiple sources
??? Provides back-up for other desks
??? May have moderate internal customer contact
??? Working under moderate to minimal supervision
??? Participation in departmental projects or initiatives
??? Demonstrating initiative to provide successful support of our client base



Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer service, operations, financial services, accounting, business processing, analytical, financial, clerical, or call center demonstrated through work or military experience

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $35,800 Mid: $49,000 Max: $62,200
