The Manager, Network Pricing within OptumRx is responsible for the oversight of client contract management through financial and network price modeling, forecasting and reporting. You'll leverage your existing expertise and knowledge in new ways as you strike the balance between health care costs and resources. This is an entry level management role where you will learn the business fundamentals of drug pricing and client performance management, the underlying data flows, and the tools and systems used to ensure that health care contracts are priced accurately and fairly for all involved. Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform financial analysis and modeling as it relates to setting prescription drug prices
• Concisely summarize and communicate the results of complex analytics
• Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
• Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
• Proactively identify and resolve issues
• Support the development of strategic initiatives aimed at reducing the total cost of care
• Provide consultative advice on use of data as subject matter expert and interpret/summarize analytical findings
• Lead projects to completion by contributing to database creation, statistical modeling and financial reports
• Partner with other departments including Underwriting, Legal, Operations, Clinical, and Account Management to effectively oversee client performance management.
• Communicating and consulting with clients directly
• Help set team direction, mentor, and provide guidance to members of own team
• Work with and have regular exposure to analysts and projects in our global data science and network pricing teams

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of analytical experience in financial analysis, healthcare pricing, network management, healthcare economics, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in creating and using financial modeling tools, spreadsheets, and information acquisition tools including experience in interpreting and/or displaying financial modeling results to inform actionable decisions
• Expert proficiency in performing financial impact analysis, risk management, and data manipulation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience interacting with clients and internal leaders
• Experience delegating analytical tasks, mentoring, or supervising the day to day responsibilities of junior staff members
• Healthcare or PBM experience
• Experience with Big data
• Proficiency in Alteryx, SQL and/or Tableau
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
