CIRE Vaccine Communications Project Manager

Position Description & Details:

The CIRE Vaccine Education Project Manager will oversee a project funded by the North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) to study and implement communication strategies that increase vaccine acceptance, address vaccine hesitancy, and increase immunization rates. The project will include working with communication and behavior experts to design and test interventions that will ultimately increase vaccination rates. The project will also focus on how to use social media platforms to combat vaccine misinformation, increase immunization rates, and share evidence-based information.

This person will coordinate all aspects of the communication work, including: working with collaborators to develop, test and evaluate communication strategies. They will work closely with the NDDoH to identify populations and areas for message testing. They will work with CIRE staff to create and update vaccine educational materials and content, including but not limited to brochures, slide decks and videos. The project manager will also oversee one graduate assistant working on the project.

This is a full-time, grant funded position through June 30, 2024.

Advertised Salary: C ommensurate with experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• M aster's degree in public health from a CEPH-accredited institution or a master's degree in a related field
• Knowledge of the principles and methods of public health practice
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, document preparation
• Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with competing internal/external deadlines,
• Ability to organize project tasks to assure that deliverables are completed within designated time frames
• Demonstrated interest and/or strong understanding of public health issues
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and collaboration skills
• Excellent organizational, planning, writing, statistical, and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• A master's degree in public health with an emphasis in infectious disease management or related field
• Earned degree or work experience in communications, marketing, writing, social media strategy, or a related field
• Skills that demonstrate expertise in vaccination and the understanding necessary to effectively communicate this knowledge
• Experience in graphic or web design
• Experience developing educational materials (videos, brochures, slide decks, etc.)
• Expertise in COVID and COVID-19 vaccines
