About This Role

As the Vice President of Technology, you will be responsible for leading the strategic & tactical direction of our development teams that architect, build and implement our productized solutions for clients and internal stakeholders. You'll set our technical vision & strategy and champion a company-wide culture of technology. You'll take an active leadership role in driving the development processes in partnership with product management to ensure product features & capabilities are delivered successfully. In our fast-growth environment, you will set the standard for our development teams ensuring reliability, scalability and trust are at the forefront of our decisions and execution. And create an inclusive culture that inspires and motivates the team as well as attracts new, diverse talent to the organization. This role has leadership over a 20-person team including Data Engineering, Data Science, Solution Architecture and Data Visualization teams. This position reports to the SVP of Measurement & Capability Development.

Role Responsibilities

* Own the technology vision & strategy for Ovative to achieve near & long-term goals; translate vision & strategy into a technology product roadmap in partnership with Product Management team.
* Partner with product management to influence overall product direction & roadmap in order to achieve company goals
* Actively seek ways to improve development processes and interactions including change management to increase productivity, speed, and quality of outputs
* Drive forward an organizational strategy & operating model across Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, Data Visualization and Data Science to drive product expertise/specialization, team member accountability, product & platform scalability and continuous improvement
* Direct ownership of Ovative's cloud infrastructure including data and systems architecture, security, governance and ongoing improvements.
* Recruit & retain outstanding diverse talent by fostering an inclusive culture that inspires & motivates and by providing mentoring, training and other opportunities for professional development
* Engage as a member of Ovative's Executive Leadership Team to influence company vision, strategy and priorities; communicate and advocate for technology vision & strategy
* Build strong relationships across the organization to understand internal stakeholder needs, advocate for developer needs and build trust across the organization

Role Requirements

* 15+ years of experience managing technical leaders and teams in high-growth organizations
* 5+ years of experience leading and managing cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects
* Experience scaling early growth companies across multiple product offerings
* Previous experience deploying, owning, and managing cloud-based systems and data infrastructure
* Demonstrated ability to attract and retain top talent and develop high performing, engaged teams
* Previous experience in a technical IC role (software engineer, data scientist, etc)
* Ability to communicate clearly and lead discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders
