Design Engineer

JOB DUTIES:

*Perform all job duties of Design Engineer 2 w/o supervision

*Assists in conception, quoting, and scheduling

*Able to ready & interpret blueprints, custome specs, and CAD drawings

*Developing "from scratch designs"

*Analyzes speeds and times of mechanism to determine best solutions

*Cost concious

*Creative/innovative problem solving

*Light travel as needed to sites and trade shows

*Willingness to help in other areas & to perform additional tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

*2 year technical education OR 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree (5 years packaging related expereince can substitute, combonation of degree and experience will be considered)

*Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continued improvement process (preferred)

*Excellent CAD and print reading skills & understanding of mechanical linkages

*Can lift/move 25lbs

*Detail Orientedack
