Job Description

Position Summary

Join a team of commercial finance professionals to drive finance decisions within Zurn. You will play a key role in managing financial performance and implementing financial strategies to achieve business objectives. You will support business partners thru budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. The Commercial Finance team is looking for a Sr. financial analyst with analytical rigor and strategic thinking to drive our business forward. This is an exciting role that provides finance support to business partners and leads projects. You will partner closely with Zurn's business leaders and support the General Managers (GM) in achieving financial targets. You will identify industry/competitive trends and report insights to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Compile, track, analyze information to evaluate achievement of key operational and strategic objectives, as well as to monitor the overall financial and operating health/performance of the business.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports and financial models to support business analysis and decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis/special projects to assist management in understanding business performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist with the annual strategic planning and budgeting financial process. This includes collaborations with business leaders, data collection & consolidation process with FP&A resources and functional leadership and validating for completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop new tools in order to drive scalable analysis and insight.
  • Perform month-end closing duties as assigned (journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.)
  • Compile sales bowlers for Commercial leadership and support countermeasures, as needed.

Qualifications

Experience and Skill Required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Highly motivated with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of processes to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as job dictates - e.g. month-end, strategic plan & budget
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and particularly strong Excel skills involving pivot tables and dynamic formulas.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems and consolidations systems Hyperion (HFM) and OneStream software is a plus. Previous system implementation experience a plus.
