WHO WE ARE: The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin (ADRC-CW) is a regional organization serving older and disabled adults in the four-county region of Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, and Wood Counties. Services provided include information and assistance, options counseling, enrollment into publicly-funded long-term care programs, benefits counseling, elderly nutrition program, caregiver support, healthy living programs, and other services that are integrated to meet the mission of the ADRC-CW. The mission of the ADRC-CW is to promote choice and independence through personalized education, advocacy, and access to services that prevent, delay, and lessen the impact of aging and disabilities in the lives of adults. Our county government is highly regarded and contributes to a high quality of life by: * ensuring public safety; * protecting natural resources; * preparing for emergency and disaster responses; * protecting vulnerable populations; * creating and maintaining a high quality infrastructure for transportation; and * providing education and fostering economic development POSITION SUMMARY: The ADRC is looking for a Casual Nutrition Site Manager in WI Rapids and/or Marshfield. Applicants interested in either OR both positions will be considered. Wisconsin Rapids: Employee will work 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. (Monday-Friday). and/or Marshfield: Employee will work 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.or 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday). Casual Nutrition Site Manager serves meals at the dining site and/or packaged Meals on Wheels. Employee will work as needed to fill in for sick leave, vacation, when more assistance is needed, etc. Employee will NOT be required to work on nights and weekends. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation or equivalent and prior some paid delivery experience preferred. Experience in route delivery or food service is desirable but not required. Serving Safe Food Training will be provided. Must have a driver's license and a driving record that meets County standards. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. * Maintains daily operations, cleanliness, and standards for food safety for Senior Dining and/or Meals on Wheels, which includes serving meals to Senior Dining customers and packaging Meals on Wheels. * Accepts bulk food delivery from caterer, and assures food temperatures are maintained according to safe food handling standards. * Follows food safety and sanitation procedures including appropriate handwashing and calibrating thermometers. Maintains temperature logs for food and holding equipment. Coordinates temperature testing procedures to assure food safety. * Reads menus to determine appropriate serving sizes; monitors quality and quantity of food. * Uses dish machine to wash dishes. * Greets customers and takes meal reservations. * Documents participant attendance and participant reports, in addition to other records according to program reporting requirements. * Prepares accurate meal order for the next day of service and reports to ADRC-CW office staff. * Responsible for locked contribution box being delivered to ADRC-CW office at the end of shift. * Oversees volunteers and/or Senior Aide staff. * Communicates with support services team regarding meal and supply orders. * Alerts supervisor to changes in service, problems, and/or unusual circumstances. * Maintains regular and predictable attendance. * Performs related work as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Ability to lift 40 pounds and transport with use of a cart. * Knowledge and understanding of the aging process and persons with disabilities. * Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices. * Ability to plan and organize work effectively. * Skill in completing records promptly and accurately. * Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative. * Ability to cooperate with people and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing with a variety of groups and individuals. * Ability to follow instructions and be flexible. * Ability to do general recordkeeping and simple mathematical calculations. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of participants. * Ability to contribute to a positive work culture that fosters excellent customer service and teamwork. COMPENSATION: Starting salary: $12.93 No other benefits are provided for this part-time, casual position.
