Medical Receptionist - Part-Time Greenfield, WIMonday - Thursday 2pm-8pm & some Saturdays 8am-12pmOur client is a local organization specializing in outpatient medical imaging. They're focused on providing the best in service, quality and technology to their patients and referring physicians. They are currently seeking a part-time Medical Imaging Receptionist.As the Medical Receptionist, you will work with patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting and registering patients. There may be other duties assigned toward the goal of providing outstanding patient and physician services.Responsibilities: Creates and ensures a positive experience for each patient and every referring office by working a manner that is as friendly, caring, helpful and efficient as possibleGreets and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services, register demographic information and process payment plans and copays with patientsAnswers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly mannerDaily calls and schedules as many patientsPre-certifies all exams with patient's insurance companySubmits charges to billing companyHandles "release of information" requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys and insurance companiesSupports technologists in order to ensure highest patient satisfaction. Act as liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams. Must relay messages regarding scanner status and other clinic informationMaintains an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physiciansArranges transportation for patients when appropriateMaintains front office lobby area such as straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies, and general office clean upEffectively communicates with patients, referring doctors, their staff members, and RadiologistsEnsures delivery of all information to those needing it (patient reports to referring doctors, etc).Qualifications: High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED)1-2 years front office medical experience preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office productsDesire to work within a team environmentMust be able to speak English, bilingual a strong plusMedical terminology knowledge strongly preferredAble to operate computer and copier/fax machinesFamiliarity with insurance plans and ability to determine patient responsibility totalsBenefits:Our client values their employees' time and efforts.
