Remote IDAM Security Analyst

Responsible for safeguarding the integrity of and access to enterprise systems and information assets through the design, analysis, enforcement and audit of access authentication and authorization controls. Additionally, this role: * Supports all aspects of access administration, access violation and exception monitoring, and development of corporate policies. * Analyzes potential security needs and risks for all information systems. Assists users in the selection and implementation of protective measures. * Assists in design, implementation and operationalization of authentication and authorization of system and application access controls. * Performs security access reviews, auditing and compliance monitoring. Audits employee access to analyze the performance of security systems and to recommend additional controls. Consults or assists with risk and vulnerability assessments. * Participates in initial discussions of new platforms, applications, and/or any significant addition to information systems. Develops and implements security standards, policies, and procedures to protect MGIC information assets. Provides input in developing long- and short-term plans for providing necessary security. * Documents processes and internal controls related to all aspects of information security. Evaluates the effectiveness of the controls and ensures compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.Works with IS Staff, Internal Audit department, and outside auditors to implement improvements to processes and controls. * Provides technical guidance and training regarding security controls and best practices for security team and Information Services. Responds to customer security questionnaires. * Participates in corporate disaster recover/business continuity planning team. Provides security representation on large enterprise projects. * Researches and maintains awareness of latest virus/worm threats and potential vulnerabilities. Understands regulatory issues and their impact on the business. Researches and explores new security packages, products and tools. * Nature of business environment requires 24/7 availability. Do you have what it takes? Education: Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Management Information Systems. Additional years of related work experience (2) may be substituted for education beyond an Associate Degree.
