Sonographer II (Union)

We Are Hiring:

St. Francis Hospital is looking to hire a Full Time, Evening Shift Sonographer.

Variable 1st/2nd shifts. Monday-Friday with rotation for call coverage on weekends.

What You Will Do:

Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.

??? Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams.
??? Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
??? Perform routine and complex studies and assist physician in a variety of imaging procedures.
??? Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.

What You Will Need:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

??? BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
??? Registered Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered by ARDMS in abdomen and/or OB/GYN within 6 months of hire date required.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited education program in Sonography required by date of hire.

Work Experience:

• Previous work experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• ARDMS for Ultrasound preferred.
• Breast Ultrasound experience preferred.
