About the Job
As the Senior Accountant, you will specialize in sales and use tax, payroll and related benefits processing, state registrations and other items assigned to the position. This is a full-time, contact-to-hire opportunity that is on-site in Bloomington, MN. Responsibilities include:

File and pay sales and use tax returns accurately and in a timely manner
Research sales and use tax laws for multiple states and provide guidance to operations
Process bi-weekly payroll from start to finish, including setting up new employees, maintaining payroll earning codes and deductions, and general ledger journal entries
Monitor and review workers compensation
Track and process PTO requests
HSA and 401K management, including processing employer and employee contributions, monitoring limits and enrollment communications.
Process benefit invoices
Reconcile sales tax and payroll/benefit general ledger accounts monthly
Reconcile bank and credit card cash accounts monthly
Monitor and perform state registrations
Various year-end tax schedules and reconciliations relating to payroll and sales tax
Assist with Commission and Royalty calculations monthly/quarterly
Other duties as assigned

About You
If you are a meticulous accountant, with acute attention to detail and an ability to work accurately and independently, we encourage you to apply! Other qualifications include:

5+ years general accounting experience
Bachelor' s degree in accounting or finance
Experience with multi-state sales and use tax
Proficiency with MS Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with payroll (ADP) and related benefits processing preferred
Oracle NetSuite experience a plus
