A renowned Manufacturing company has a long-term temporary opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to lend their skills and leadership to a growing financial team. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for such financial issues as project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. You will also implement analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements and also offer decision-making support for future company investments. Bayport, Minnesota will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst.

Responsibilities

- Drive improved management reporting - work with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results

- Influence the development of repeatable business, operational, and financial processes for all necessary teams

- Provide dynamic support for all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

- Survey financial results, condense key trends, appraise current and future business risks, and relay critical updates to senior leadership in the course of normal preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting

- Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management

- Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

- Coordinate with Functional leads to draft management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and guarantee alignment of operational initiatives

- Assess and execute financial analysis in order to optimize business performance

Job Requirements:
- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

- Ability to think critically and interact with management

- Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required

- Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint

- CPA or MBA preferred

- 7+ years experience in operations finance necessary

- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Acquirement in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

- Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

- Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization

- Foundational knowledge in budget forecasting

- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

- Ad Hoc Reporting experience

- Deep understanding of variance analysis

- Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented
