Accountemps is looking for a Accounts Receivable Clerk for our client in Mahtomedi. This Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing of various accounts receivable functions which utilize research, reconciling, investigating and problem solving techniques. They will also need to know how to apply daily deposits in the system as well as perform daily/monthly balancing and to provide the necessary documents to General Accounting. This AR Candidate will report to the A/R Credit Manager and/or A/R Lead and will perform the following duties:

- Daily scanner deposits and manual deposits as needed

- Cash application (i.e. cash, checks, credit cards), clearing A/R refunds, reversing NSF, various other clearings (i.e. credit memo, settlements, reapplication of funds), applying sales amendments, and applying A/R write-off.

- Tracking NSF and adjustments

- Daily cash application to be processed on a timely basis

- Accurately review accounts status for balance due and determine past due and/or current balances

- Perform account reconciliation (i.e. for collection accounts, dispute, etc.)

- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of A/R accounting policies and procedures

- Work closely with credit/collection

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- Entry-level applicants considered

- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

- Solid understanding of account analysis

- Strong familiarity with compliance

- Microsoft Excel experience
