Senior Accountant

Accountemps is partnering with a Plymouth based manufacturing client in need of an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a knack for solving complex problems. This role is open due to a recent resignation and will be responsible for both the transactional accounting processing such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as monthly account reconciliations, fixed assets and account analysis. What you get to do every day

- Prepare both balance sheet and bank account reconciliations

- Process accounts payable invoices, both PO and non-PO

- Complete weekly and monthly customer invoicing, uploading to the appropriate customer portals to ensure timely receipt of payment

- Manage fixed assets, including the set up of new assets and the retirement of old assets

- Prepare depreciation schedules and the supporting account reconciliations

- Process biweekly payroll using Paychex software

- Additional projects as assigned by the Controller

- 5+ years of prior Senior Accountant experience in a small-mid sized company

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

- Strong familiarity with Ledger Account Analysis

- Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience highly desired

- Experience with ERP systems

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
