Seeking: Accountant / Tax Preparer / CPA
Smith & Sem Ltd, in Fergus Falls Minnesota, is looking to add a full-time Staff Accountant/CPA to our growing team. Ideal candidate would have an accounting degree with 2+ years prior work experience. CPA License preferred, but not required. Prior experience in public accounting as well as knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus. Duties to include tax preparation, general accounting, and financial statement work. Position does have client contact which requires strong customer service and communication skills. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience; benefits are also available. Position does have ownership potential.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and have the ability to meet numerous deadlines. They must be able to manage their time well and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. They also must be extremely accurate and detailed in their work. Other skills needed include computer skills, a good working knowledge of standard office technology and equipment, and general office procedures.
