Registered Nurse (RN)

Every member of the elder care population has different needs. That being the case, assisted living nurses must have a broad and varied skillset. For example, during face-to-face interaction with the elderly, assisted living nurses may need to:

When assisted living nurses aren't directly interacting with patients, they're still expected to perform a variety of administrative and strategic tasks. Depending on the facility (and the population being served), an assisted living nurse may need to
* Create services plans for individual residents in assisted living facilities
* Test and re-evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of those plans
* Coordinate healthcare services (specifically those services that come from sources outside of the assisted living facility - like onboarding and supporting hospice staff)
* Build and maintain relationships with other home health organizations
* Maintain consistent contact with local physicians to stay up-to-date on each individuals' medical needs and service expectations
* Coordinate discharges for individuals whose needs are no longer being met

* Tact, to respect the residents - and to properly represent the values of the facility
* Sensitivity, to listen to the residents and appreciate the one-on-one interactions with them
* Knowledge of the elderly (and their needs), to make them as comfortable and as healthy as possible

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $40.00 per hour
