Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Director, Internal Audit and SOX Compliance is responsible for the activities of the Internal Audit department and compliance with financial and information technology requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) utilizing support for a co-sourced third-party provider. They are also responsible for providing strategic leadership and assurance services to the Audit Committee and the company's Senior Management around the areas of risk management, risk mitigation and governance.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 10 years' experience leading SOX and other compliance activities at an enterprise-level or internal audit functions within publicly listed organizations
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with all levels of management and across all functional areas
- Be a hands-on leader, willing to roll-up their sleeves to work through detailed analyses, while at the same time being able to effectively interface with the senior leadership of the business
- Manage processes well and effectively prioritize tasks to fully and completely meet all deadlines
- Demonstrated project management skills

Responsibilities:
Internal Audit
- Report to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors on the control environment of the company, including the Audit Plan, the results of internal audits, and the results of the SOX program testing
- Facilitating a comprehensive continuous risk assessment process, the outcome of which would determine the company's risk profile, and ultimately determine the company's risk-based approach to auditing
- Utilizing the results of the risk assessment, to design and execute the risk-based audit plan for the company, work with the internal audit outsourced provider on ensuring execution of the audit plan
- Act as a valued business advisor and trusted assurance provider, providing forward looking insights that strengthen business performance; partner closely with business line and risk management leaders, regulators, and external subject matter specialists
- Preparing and reviewing board, committee, and other stakeholder reporting for completeness, consistency with other internal audit materials, and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding business processes, risks, controls and systems
- Coordinating audit activities by integrating other internal audit subject matter teams to ensure appropriate and efficient coverage of the business products, services and processes
- Oversee the investigation of any financial matters that arise from the whistle-blower hotline, including investigations that allege inappropriate behavior on the part of employees or other stakeholders or financial fraud of any nature
- Other duties as assigned based on business need
- Coordinate with external auditors on their annual plan to optimize the reliance by the external auditors on the work performed
- Through the use of external resources, execute SOX financial and information technology compliance activities from control design/documentation through effectiveness testing.
- Communicate results of compliance activities to business unit and corporate process owners and leadership, including the Audit Committee, as necessary
- Evaluate deficiencies in internal controls and help create and monitor remediation plans for identified deficiencies
- Manage internal quarterly certification process with business unit and headquarters personnel
