Job Summary: Coordinates the company’s quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices, to assure the company of continuous conformance with appropriate standards and regulations and to serve as Management Representative. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Report to Quality Manager on the performance of the quality management system and note needed improvements.

  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance audits, scheduling audits; investigating customer complaints, corrective and preventive action programs; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.

  • Scheduling of annual external audits and for recertification audit.

  • Scheduling Management Review Meetings for the headquarters and sub plants, compiling the minutes and data to be sent out to the Management Review Group prior to the meetings.

  • Heads up the Special Process Committee.

  • Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.

  • Act as a liaison with external parties such as customers or auditors on matters relating to the Quality Management System.

  • Reviews forms and confers with the Quality Manager and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements.

  • Develops and implements records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records, and assures compliance with program.

  • Runs the plant monthly summary for North America.

  • Develops and implements the PPAP/First Article program for customers.

  • Member of the Lean/5S team.

  • Performs work in a safe manner and follows all safety guidelines/procedures

  • Performs related work as required by supervisor.

  • Domestic and international travel may be required and may include weekend travel depending upon the particular project.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Entry Level

  • Regular and Reliable Attendance.

  • Proficient data entry skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Understand and carry out simple oral and written instructions.

  Minimum Qualifications for Application

  • 4-year Degree in Related field
  • Or equivalent experience in Lean Manufacturing training and experience.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system.
  • Experience in 5S or Six Sigma
  • Supervisory Experience

Qualifications Education Required

 

HS Diploma or GED or better in Other.

 

Preferred

 

Associates or better in Manufacturing Engineering Technology.

 

Bachelors or better in Other.

 

Experience Preferred

 

4 years: Experience in quality control, quality assurance, Lean Manufacturing or similar field
