Product Design Engineer

Carl's Place, an online retailer and manufacturer of golf simulators and projector screens, is seeking an expert to help design new products. From brainstorming product ideas to creating designs and prototypes and assisting with the manufacturing process, the product design engineer will lead the process from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Working with product designers, research and develop ideas for improving existing or creating new products to fill out company catalog
• Create mechanical designs in Solidworks, including specifying off-the-shelf parts and detailing products for manufacture
• Build and test prototypes for usability and longevity
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure final product can be efficiently produced

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Experience in product development and design
• Experience with Solidworks and CNC concepts
• Comfortable using computers and communication technologies
• Able to work with small tools and shop equipment
• Strong self-starter who is able to work independently and lead their own projects
• Proven teamwork and people skills

Preferences:

• Experience with sewn products or industrial sewing
• Experience playing golf and/or working in the golf industry
