Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of companies, is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Consultant to join our dynamic team in Eden Prairie (Minneapolis) MN. This is an individual contributor role who will be heavily involved in data analytics and pricing, and interacting with our operations, product, and sales teams. Ideal candidates for this role will have a solid financial background, be highly self - motivated, and be advanced users of MS Excel. They should also have a desire and ability to work with senior leaders in the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leading development of new and renewal pricing for risk adjustment and quality products with total projected volume exceeding $500M annually
• Executing deal structure for comprehensive solutions to meet both the client's needs and the company's internal financial targets
• Leveraging an enterprise - wide view of the business to identify operational and growth synergies among distinct product suites
• Engaging functional partners to define product value for prospective clients
• Providing financial leadership for cross-functional team to develop new products and product enhancements
• Evaluating and presenting information in a manner that will facilitate management's understanding of risks and intangible benefits

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of strategic and financial analysis experience
• Solid MS Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA degree
• Healthcare industry experience
• Excellent problem - solving and analytical skills, with the ability to inform business decisions based on research and presentation of facts
• Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible, work in cross - functional and matrixed teams, and work with ambiguity
• Proven written and oral communication skills required; must be able to interact with all levels within an organization
