Computer Aided Drafting and Design Technician

• Use the AutoCad program to create 2D drawings for customer orders
• Work with customers on drawing changes and updates
• Assist and support the Computer Aided Drafting supervisor as needed 
• Collaborate with others to solve problems related to customer orders
• Communicate with purchasing on all specialty parts needed for orders
• Learn and maintain knowledge of the industry, engineering, math, and materials used
• Analyze designs and situations and come up with creative solutions
• Make decisions based on designs
• Keep up to date on industry and engineering standards
• Spend time in the shops reviewing and explaining drawings, answering questions from supervisors and employees, and keep in close contact with the projects in production
• Use your knowledge and expertise to help in research and development of the current and new product line
• Communicate respectively with supervisor and fellow employees
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
