We also care about the health, wellbeing, and safety of our employees and promotea positive work-life balance with a flexible work environment.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DAY SERVICE ASSOCIATE / DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)As a Day Service Associate / Direct Support Professional (DSP), you assist individuals withdisabilities with skill acquisition through thoughtful and purposeful programming. For allparticipants, no matter their skill level, this programming focuses on increasing or maintainingtheir independence as well as contributing to their overall quality of life. You provide directsupport to participants while they are receiving services on-site. Leading group or one-on-oneactivities in 2-hour blocks, you engage participants at their individual skill levels. You patientlyassist them in understanding their options and in communicating their choices. As needed, youalso aid with personal care and range of motion plans. You are conscientious about keeping up-to-date and accurate documentation on all participants. With pride, you maintain a safe, sanitary,and organized environment in the program area. You find your role as an advocate for individualswith disabilities extremely rewarding!QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DAY SERVICE ASSOCIATE / DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP)18 years oldBasic knowledge and understanding of issues that affect people with disabilitiesProficiency using technology, including email and other web-based documentationsystemsA college degree in a related human services field, relevant experience, and the ability to drive arepreferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
