HOW YOU WILL DO IT Purpose Statement: The Facilities and Energy Manager - Regional is responsible for assessing, managing, and assisting with the implementation of Facilities and Environmental Sustainability related projects and opportunities within the region. Additionally, this position will partner cross-functionally with multiple levels of the organization, vendors, industry peers and others in support of the corporate Facilities and Environmental Sustainability strategies, associated goals, targets, initiatives, etc. Key Job Accountabilities: * Act as a subject matter expert for all issues related to energy use reduction, and other resource efficiency efforts within scope. * Lead and coordinate projects, timelines, and vendors to ensure timely and successful completion of energy use reduction and environmental sustainability related initiatives. * Mentor and coach the sites/region to drive innovative solutions; helping to achieve facilities and environmental sustainability excellence supporting: Plexus' resource efficiency targets, and other associated goals. * Contribute to positive outcomes from 3rd party/Customer audits, inspections and certifications (e.g. ISO 50001, ISO14001, etc.). * Develop, own, maintain, and ensure review of relevant documentation and metric tracking within the associated Plexus systems, as assigned. Additional Accountabilities: * Assist with the execution of the Plexus Environmental Sustainability Strategy. * Conduct Facilities/Environmental Sustainability reviews, and aid sites in identifying opportunities to rectify any nonconformance to external or internal Plexus standards. * Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business up to 20-30 percent. * Additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience Qualifications: * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required in: Facilities/Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related business field; MS in a related field preferred. * A minimum three (3) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered. Other Qualifications: * Analytical decision maker with creative thinking ability. * High attention to detail and project management skills * Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to prioritize and manage considerable workload and special projects with limited supervision. * Demonstrates business-minded, risk-intelligent and problem-solving approach. * Ability to influence and work within all levels of the organization. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and in a team environment. * Maintains a professional appearance and a positive company image both internally and externally. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new tools and technologies relevant to the position.
