Now Hiring Customer Service Representative - $15-17/hrFacilitates customer requests for information, quotations and orders by interacting with customers, supervisors, sales team and vendors.Full BenefitsWe promote from within!What we Offer:$15-17/hrTo help our employees reach their goals, MIR offers tuition assistance and in-house training.Position offers potential for growth as the candidate learns the position responsibilities and our industryBenefits:MedicalAetna - coverage starts on DAY ONEDentalVisionLife insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityMIR pays 100% of the cost for each employee's short-term & long-term disability coverage.Health Savings Account - with a company contribution of $600 annually401(k)Company matches 1st 1% at 100%, 50% match of next 5%Tuition reimbursement.MIR reimburses up to 90% of tuition, after 1 year of employment, for Undergraduate AND Graduate education.PTOAbout the Position:Summary: Facilitates customer requests for information, quotations and orders by interacting with customers, supervisors, sales team and vendors.Customer ServiceProvide customer and sales team support for MIR customersCommunicate with customers to receive orders for products and installations via fax, e-mail, phone or from sales staffProcess customer orders accurately and timelyResearch customer order history and review inventory for availabilityMaintain and update customer filesFollow-up on orders in progressCommunicate order status with outside sales staffInteract extensively with vendors, customers, and any other person or groupEmulate MIR style, philosophy, and persona.Sales SupportSupport Outside Sales TeamPerform product research through contact with our vendorsObtain pricing on purchases, generate and follow-up on quotesPrepare monthly reports for the national accounts.AdditionalResponsible for answering the phones timely and professionally throughout office hours, filing, faxing, e-mailing, and various other office and clerical duties.Communicate with vendors regarding purchasing of materialsVerify accuracy of order when receiving vendor products.Allocate cost of inventory to ordersTransfer stock to other branches upon request.Process customer billing accurately and timelyAssist Corporate Collections Staff by contacting customers to collect on invoices that are past due.Project a professional and courteous demeanor when communicating with supervisors, co-workers, customers and vendors.Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; industrial distribution experience a plus.Positions requires ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, co-workers, customers and vendors.Position requires ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Position requires ability to understand and utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Experience with an ERP highly preferred.
