Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

What you get to do every single day

- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Help with internal and external audits as required

- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

- Manage full-cycle A/P

Job Requirements:
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- Spreadsheet and database capabilities

- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- Enter Vendor Invoices experience required

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience

- Proficiency in Print Vendors

- Process Vendor Invoices experience preferred
