Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Regions Hospital located in St. Paul, MN. Regions Hospital is a leading, full-service, private hospital providing outstanding medical and surgical care with 500+ beds. Patients benefit from an expert team of medical professionals and a comprehensive range of services. Some of the key services include programs in heart, women's care, cancer, seniors' services, surgery, digestive care, behavioral health, burn, emergency and trauma.

Nutrition Services provides food for patients and staff and recently remodeled the kitchen and cafe. We also operate a Coffee Shop on-site, and off-site at one of the clinics. We also provide meals for an off-site rehab center associated with Regions Hospital.

The successful candidate will:

* be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
* ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
* have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
* ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance;
* have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
* improve and standardize catering and banquet services, create menus based on client needs;
* implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering and patient services;
* create interpersonal relationships with clients and staff in the hospital.

* a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends;
* excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies;
* a strong production culinary background, ideally in a high volume restaurant/retail/catering environment;
* proven to effectively communicate to multiple audiences and develop strong relationships with customers;
* the ability to multitask and proven effectiveness in a high-standards driven environment;
* a strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts;
* the ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team;
* proficiency with computer skills as well as exceptional organizational and customer services skills;
* Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits;
* at least 2 years supervising and influencing staff
* strong collaboration skills and can work in a team environment
* experience managing a diverse workforce and have an inclusive mindset

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. Key Duties- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.- Manages catering & retail areas.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.- Manages food & physical safety programs.

Qualifications & Requirements
