Summary

Our client is looking for an experienced and result-driven estimator to review project plans and assist in developing and executing competitive estimates along with a range of other responsibilities working directly with the VP.

Description

• Prepare and submit proposals, within time-frame and following up until closed
• Facilitate an effective hand-off to the project manager, engineers and architects
• Monitor budgets throughout the construction process
• Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders.
• Update & maintain accurate pipeline reports, track leads, bookings, forecasting, reporting
• Build out a small department of other estimating professionals
• Flexible enough to handle some project management duties
• Ability to lead from the front
• Utilize technology to actualize on effective project and cost delivery

Profile

• 3+ years of estimating experience
• Ability to work hand-and-hand with in-house architects, engineers and designers
• Understanding of construction law & accepted business practices.
• Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Associates (required) or Bachelors (preferred) in construction management or engineering.
• Diverse project experience in construction.
• Hard working individual looking to make an impact immediately.
• Good teamwork, someone with the ability to lean on others in the business as well as provide support to younger and greener individuals.
• Someone looking for a bright and long-term future in Milwaukee commercial construction.
• Familiar with several types of construction software the ability to be open-minded when learning new construction software.
