Job Details

Position Information

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate college credit for transferability to NDSU and determine course equivalencies of college credit accepted in transfer by NDSU.
  • Meet with prospective and enrolled transfer students both directly and through on-campus outreach efforts.
  • Assist in the development of publications and programs related to transfer stduents including the transfer website.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the Transfer Evaluation System (TES).
  • Assist in the re-creation of academic records into the Student Information System (SIS).
  • During peak times, assist with the processing of various transfer student transactions and functions.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures related to FERPA and student privacy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a team environment.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, ocassional night or weekend for special events, approximately 5 times a year

Advertised Salary: $38,000+/year

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • One year work experience in an education/academic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Accurately and consistently plans and executes projects in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates effective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Comfortability working with computer systems and new software technologies
  • Strong customer service experience/skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity working as a professional in higher education with academic-related issues
  • Experience working with transfer, international, or study abroad student related issues
  • Experience working with customer confidentiality
  • Proficient computer skills which include Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access), student information systems (such as PeopleSoft/Oracle), and imaging software (such as Perceptive Content)
  • Familiarity with NDSU academic policy and procedure
  • Demonstrated presentation skills in a professional setting
