The Director provides administration of all aspects of the Admissions area functions which includes; recruitment, admission advising, new student enrollment, budget preparation and oversight, hiring staffing, event planning and management, and all other related enrollment management administration.  Provide independent administrative oversight, management/supervision of professional and support staff.  Maintain fiscal accountability for the Admissions/Student Services Center at Minnesota State Community and Technical College.

Responsibilities: 
Execute the M State Service Commitment and Service Standards to ensure all stakeholders have a positive service experience.
Administrative authority for hiring supervision and performance accountability for the Admissions staff.
Operational authority, delegation and leadership for design, implementation and accountability of the college admissions enrollment plan in relation to the college unit 
Administrative authority, delegation and leadership for design, implementation and accountability of the college admissions enrollment plan in relation to the college unit 
Responsibility for fiscal management of annual budget.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner. Must be able to travel to meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education admissions or enrollment management or student affairs.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in management or supervision.
Knowledge of effective systems for college admissions and recruitment strategies.
Skill in written, oral and presentation communications, human relations, and leadership.
Ability to lead, motivate, change systems, solve problems, improve service, resolve conflicts and work collaboratively.
Demonstrated management, budgeting, and decision-making skills.
Experience working with diverse student populations.
Ability to work long and/or non-routine hours during peak periods and at other times.
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
Customer services skills sufficient to actively listen to and understand customer needs and provide accurate information and appropriate alternatives in a timely, thorough, courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
Meeting travel required frequently, conference/overnight travel required once or twice per year.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree.
