Primary Location: United States (US)- Wisconsin - Horicon Function: Product EngineeringTitle: Electrical Engineer- 74876 Your Responsibilities As an Electrical Engineer for John Deere Horicon Works in Horicon, Wisconsin, you will.... Develop and integrate electrical systems for utility vehicles and riding lawn equipment to meet global customer requirements. Apply engineering rigor in harnesses, sensors, controllers, displays, and power systems for selection/development and validation. Define design and test requirements for sensors, electronic components, and software. Engage in current product improvement. Determine critical-path issues, define action plans, and communicate project status to peers, stakeholders, and suppliers. What Skills You Need 3+ years' demonstrated skills with electrical hardware development for outdoor applications 3+ years' demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with others inside and outside your department 3+ years' demonstrated skills in design of one or more of the following areas: Vehicle electrical systems, harnessing CAD, electronics hardware 2+ years' demonstrated skills with project management 2+ years' experience with product development process (PDP) What Makes You Stand Out 5+ years' experience in the required skills Experience with electrical development for automotive or off-highway vehicles or components Experience with project management and leadership skills, and the ability to break complex opportunities into executable action items Experience with Capital Harness Systems software Experience working with Systems Engineering processes Experience with battery-electric or hybrid vehicle development Experience with embedded SW design, J1939 CAN, and troubleshooting prototype hardware electronics in partnership with SW developers Experience working with supply management, suppliers, PV testing, factory operations, or customer supportEducation Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related career field What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go.
