Performs routine maintenance for Facilities Management at various locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Performs complex corrective and preventive maintenance tasks. Coaches and advises less experienced staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
* Install, assemble and test new/repaired equipment.
* understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
* Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
* Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage.
* Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for industrial wash equipment.
* Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
* Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
* Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.
* Work effectively with other team members
* Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
* Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
* Constructs projects from blueprints or conceptual drawings requiring the operation of cutting, drilling, or shaping tools.
* Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs all low voltage electrical equipment.
* Accurately documents corrective and preventive maintenance actions in facility monitoring systems as well as on work orders.

Education/Qualifications:

One to two years trade school. Experience can be substituted for education.

Knowledge and skills in shop and hand tool use, care and maintenance, reading drawings and single phase electrical systems.

Ability to obtain Lift Truck Certification.

Experience:

4-5 years experience in facilities or maintenance related capacity.

Ability to use MS Office at an intermediate level.

Basic math skills.

Ability to accurately read and record information.
