Job Description

Develops Mortgage fulfillment training curricula, materials, and programs (including classroom training, online training, and other technologies) to meet specific training/learning solution needs at U.S. Bank. Consults with business line and corporate partners to develop business line and/or corporate-wide training/learning solution initiatives designed to support critical business objectives. Facilitate the delivery of training/learning solutions that they have designed. Identifies and assesses training/learning solutions needs of assigned clients and designs skills training and other business line and/or corporate wide training/learning solutions programs/initiatives. Evaluates the effectiveness of existing training programs/learning solutions and makes improvements or designs replacements.

Essential Functions

* Plans and manages the design, development, deployment, and evaluation of training/learning solutions for assigned clients.

* Consults with assigned clients to formulate training/learning solutions project objectives, scope, schedule, budget and resources for producing the project deliverables.

* Analyzes and diagnoses the training needs of assigned clients by observing job tasks, conducting group and individual interviews, analyzing questionnaires or surveys, and using other appropriate analysis methods or techniques. As a result of this analysis, proposes specific training/learning solutions, which might include leadership coaching, goal setting, process improvement, organizational development, and other workplace performance improvement initiatives.

* Designs performance-based and knowledge-based tests to measure participant understanding of program content.

* Develops training material and content and organizes into meaningful learning modules, which are then deployed in various training tools such as facilitator guides, learning guides, tests, job aids, or other relevant learning resources.

* Contributes to formalizing best practices for designing, developing, and evaluating curricula materials by leading standards discussions and documenting them.

* Ensures training materials are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies

* Conducts train-the-trainer sessions for curricula, materials, and programs that they have developed.

* Develops and delivers training programs that promote participation. Creates a positive classroom experience, fosters learning, manages participants, encourages participants of all backgrounds and learning styles, understands who is learning, and effectively addresses challenging participants.

* Conducts follow up with participants to identify trends in their learning and provide coaching and feedback.

* Participates in business line and/or corporate wide training/learning solutions initiatives

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
* Four to seven years of instructional design experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

* Advanced knowledge of instructional design concepts and principles
* Ability to apply adult learning concepts and principles
* Thorough knowledge of a wide variety of training techniques and technologies
* Ability to effectively present and facilitate including the use of audio visuals, online, and other technologies
* Proficient in deploying and facilitating training curricula, materials, and programs the incumbent has designed/developed
* Well-developed ability to evaluate the effectiveness of training curricula, materials, and programs in light of business objectives
* Demonstrated expertise in content of assigned training curriculum
* Understands the business line(s) that the Instructional Designer supports
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
