North Central Utility (NCU) is one of the largest semi-trailer dealers in the world helping support the transportation industry and the critical movement of goods.  A large portion of our business helps support refrigerated carriers that transport temperature-sensitive food and materials throughout North American.

Primary Functions:

As a Trailer Sales Associate at our St. Augusta, MN Store, your mission is to develop and execute short and long-term sales and marketing strategies required for sustainable growth with the expected outcomes of increasing market share, improving brand awareness, and increase revenues and profits. 

Specific Functions:

  • Overall responsibility for the sale of new and used trailers to existing & prospective customers in your primary area
  • Responsible for the development of trailer sales business  that will continue company growth
  • Works closely with the executive team to build a customer base and grow business volume and profitability
  • Develops close working relationships with Parts and Service Department to ensure a continual stream of communication within the leadership team to understand the overall business dynamics
  • Will facilitate relationships across the entire organization to share best practices, ideas, trends, and successes in business
  • Develops, updates, and routinely communicates sales and marketing status, forecasts, and business opportunities
  • Manages the customer relations function, managing customers throughout the sales process through delivery and beyond
  • Strengthens overall relationships with key accounts in all levels of their operation, especially maintenance
  • Participate in the formation of a long-range Strategic Plan for the business understanding strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities

 

Requirements

  • Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required
  • Heavy-Duty Equipment and/or components experience is preferred
  • Demonstrate Self-Motivation, a Consultative Sales Approach, and Effective Relations Building
  • Highly organized with effective time management and efficient territory management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills comfortable presenting to all levels of decision-makers
  • Maintain high levels of integrity and confidentiality in the handling of all information and possess professionalism in dealing with all levels within the organization
  • Must exhibit excellent leadership skills and be a recognized resource within the sales team and across the enterprise organization
  • Must demonstrate strong business acumen as well as a full understanding of the implications of business-level decisions
  • Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products
