There is no better time to be part of the growing, dynamic world of agriculture - let's help you find your fit.Agronomy Accounting ClerkLocation: Brewster, MNSummary: Keep Agronomy records accurate and in balance with the General Ledger, ensure that Agronomy accounting is done in a uniform manner at all locations. Has experience in agronomy accounting and billing, understanding prepaids and billings, PO's and receivers, inventory management, agronomy wholesale and reporting/analysis.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Supports Co-op's stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.Read and follow company employee policies.Maintain precise records of customer and vendor payments, invoices, and other financial records.Prepare customer invoices.Prepare and maintain customer financing options.Prepare and apply customer bookings and prepays.Enter and reconcile vendor invoices.Reconcile PO's and receivers.Maintain historical records by creating PDF's and e-filing.Maintain live and accurate inventory.Prepare and maintain documents/reports for wholesale vendors.Create and provide inventory, billing, DPR and analytic reports.File accurate and timely federal and state forms as required.Assist other coop departments and office personnel with projects as needed.Accept additional responsibilities and duties as directed by the Controller or Agronomy Department Manager.Communication ExpectationsReport unsafe, defective or impaired working equipment or unsafe conditions to your Supervisor.Communicate the information necessary to co-workers to perform tasks according to their job requirements, maintain location efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.Ask Supervisor for information or instructions when needed.Inform Supervisor of suggestions to improve safety, efficiency or increase business.Immediately report any work related injury, property damage or theft to the supervisor or general manager.Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Other Relevant Skills: Multi-tasking, organizational skills, attention to detail.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's licensePhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
