SUMMARY: Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Tech is responsible for ensuring that our production teams have the essential materials for production along with other critical inventory and logistics operational support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, ship, store, and transfer materials and finished goods to and from plants and outside storage locations.
• Perform related transactions for stocking of raw materials.
• Break down, clean, organize, and prep for production.
• Assist with a broad range of warehouse tasks, utilizing forklifts, pallet movers, drum dollies and carts.
• Coordinate, communicate, and signal replenishment of material from the various stock locations to production.
• Assist with inventory counts and planning.
• Follow and understand Safe Work Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Ability to stand and/or walk up to 100% of the time, work in a freezer, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong project management and organizational skills in which attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects on time is essential.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgement.
• Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible and irregular hours that may vary due to the needs of a 24-hour manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, shipping/receiving, or inventory
  • Ability to operate and use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This job operates in both a manufacturing plant as well as a warehouse with varying temperatures.
• While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing in environments with varied temperatures. This position requires frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
