International Credit Analyst- Spanish

We're hiring a bilingual International Credit Analyst. In this role, you will use your Spanish speaking/written abilities to manage the credit risk and accounts receivables of an assigned portfolio of customers. You will determine credit worthiness of new and existing customers and set appropriate credit limits by analyzing customer financial statements and performing due diligence. You will be responsible for accounts receivable percent current results that directly affect company cash flow and take the lead in determining and resolving invoicing issues that impact receivables. This position works with all levels of management externally and internally to manage risk and improve the collections cycle.
This position can be located in our headquarters offices in Arden Hills, MN or can be virtual (remote) anywhere in the USA.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Contact customers to ensure payments are received on time. Involves resolving issues with customers' processes/procedures.
- Influence customers to change/correct payment terms and practices and to provide financial statements for analysis.
- Translate financial statements from Spanish to English.
- Analyze financial statements and use results to manage credit risk.
- Participate and lead various projects in relation to process improvements and various department and company objectives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required along with up to 2 years relevant work experience in commercial credit and collections or similar field.
- Must be fluent in Spanish - both written and verbal. Must be competent in translating financial statements from Spanish into English.
- Demonstrated strong computer skills including ERP systems and Microsoft Products (Excel/Word/Outlook).
Competencies and other skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence/negotiate with all levels of employees at our customers' organization as well as within Land O'Lakes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to stand firm on credit decisions that may be challenged by sales/or sales management.
Preferred Experience-Education:
- Financial statement analysis skills/experience
- Experience in International Credit and Collections
