Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop systems to liberate data from RDBMS platforms into a streaming architecture
• Work with automation and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible or other commercial PaaS offerings
• Lead an Agile team of Platform Engineers
• Work with Software, Platform Engineering and Operations teams on the development and delivery of operational ready platforms
• Work across teams for cross-functional architectures and patterns
• Work with telemetry and log aggregation tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Elasticsearch
• Work with platform consumers to scope, provisions and provide business value
• Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
• Design automated, resilient, scalable platform solutions
• Participate in development of automated delivery work flows using cloud automation and orchestration tools, Unix shell scripting and other deployment tools
• Involved in solving moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analysis
• Deliver the process and standards for developing new and exciting services for our customers
• Develop integrations between vendor tool APIs and automation frameworks
• Provide explanation and information to others on difficult issues
• Coach, provide feedback guide others and mentor team members
• Identify/quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems
• Support, design and improve on monitoring, alerting and tooling efforts
• Reviewing the decisions the team makes to ensure consistency and alignment with the vision
• Maintain awareness of current technology assets, and the applicability and capability of each
• Ability and willingness to augment current expertise with new open source or targeted vendor technologies
• Continually monitor industry developments in Change Data Capture as well as supporting technologies used in a mix of cloud and onprem delivery

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree
• 6+ years in platform engineering
• 2+ years of Java or Python development
• 2+ years of experience in container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes)
• 2+ years of development experience including full life cycle activities
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Experience working across fully automated stacks in a CI/CD ecosystem
• Agile DevOps delivery model experience
• Experience in technical lead position and providing technical guidance to team
• Experience with general ITIL principle of Issue and Problem management and resolution

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health care industry experience
• Experience with Cassandra, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana
• Experience with test case automation
• Experience working effectively across multiple functional areas in a matrix environment
• Active in working with emerging technologies
• Ability to identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
• Ability to solve complex problems and/or conducts complex analyses
• Ability to work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
• Ability to translate concepts into practice
• Ability to act as a resource for others with less experience

Colorado Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700.
