Surgical Technician - Part Time

Lakewood Health System is seeking a Part-time Surgical Technician.

The Surgical Technician assists the surgeon, physician and/or anesthesia provider in the operating room and/or endoscopy procedure room during procedures. They ensure instrumentation for procedures is clean, sterile and in working order, and observe and maintain the sterile field at all times. They assist in all areas of the operating room to include sterile processing and inventory supply. Performs other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This is a Part-time position working 48 hours every two weeks between the hours of 6:00AM-4:00PM as well as being included on the on-call rotation schedule. Flexibility with scheduling is required with this position.

Qualifications

1. Certified Surgical Technologist credentials preferred

2. BLS certification required within 6 months of hire

3. Previous experience preferred

4. Adaptable, accurate and alert during procedures

5. Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks and be self-motivated

6. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
