Position Overview

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7am-3:30pm

This position is a liaison between Digi-Key Sales and Order Fulfillment. E-mails and calls are received from the sales department requesting a lead time for specific kits to be built or for Tape and Reel (TR)\\Cut Tape (CT) parts to be moved in PROD. The person must be able to look up lead times in an excel spreadsheet and report back to sales in a timely manner. The ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and departments is a must as is the ability to work within the WinDECS computer systems. Much of the work is self-directed and a high degree of attention to detail is required both in organizing and assembling kits. In addition, the position will be creating\\assembling kits, prepacking parts for pick bays and other product as necessary, receiving and sending of e-mails\\ phone calls.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...

• Receive and process phone|email requests from the sales department
  
• Build specific kits for customers in an efficient manner
  
• Manage Cut Tape (CT) reports in an excel document
  
• Cut down, bag and label product into specific quantities
  
• Operate the auto baggers for CT and prepacking of batteries
  
• Prepackage product for bin/emergency stock, inspecting the quality of the product before prepackaging.
  
• Assist in other pre-pack duties (e.g. from receiving or replenishment teams) as needed
  
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
  
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
  
• Basic computer navigation and typing skills
  
• Ability to actively participate as a team member in order to meet departmental goals
  
• Ability to provide a positive, professional and enthusiastic outlook or perspective
  
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task as well as the ability to change focus quickly based on requests by employees/management
  
• Able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  
• Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success
  
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motion
  
• Capable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concrete
  
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height
  
• Regular and consistent attendance due to need to access physical equipment
