This Information Security Senior Engineer (ISSE) role is on the Cyber Security Innovation - Strategic Initiatives Group within the Cyber Threat Management group performing application and system engineering for the Cyber Security Correlation and Automation (CSCA) tool. The ideal candidate should be experienced in system and application management in environments with complex configurations involving big-data technologies. This role performs lifecycle management duties related to the CSCA platform as well as the following:

• Daily maintenance and troubleshooting supporting a 50+ server Hadoop and ElasticSearch cluster
• Occasional late-night or early-morning assistance with OS and application patching
• Investigating and implementing fixes for security vulnerabilities and other application maintenance activities
• Assistance with OS upgrades, system rebuilds, and onboarding additional infrastructure
• Working closely with a development team in the DEVOPS model
• Analyzing log data to identify changes or issues with parsing and other log ingestion maintenance

Salary range is determined by location of the job.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of information security applications and systems experience
• 6+ years of information technology applications and systems experience
• 3 + years of Unix or Linux administration experience
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing and supporting hardware and network fault tolerance offerings or environments

Desired Qualifications

• Advanced Information Security technical skills and solid knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies
• Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• 3+ years of Big Data experience
• Knowledge and understanding of security configuration management including: linking security policy with security configuration
• Knowledge and understanding of network security and network protocols
• Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability identification and remediation
• System vulnerability detection and mitigation experience
• 3 + years of experience with Elasticsearch development, integration or support

Other Desired Qualifications

• 3 + years of development experience with one or more of the following: Java, Perl, Python, or C+
• 1 + year of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
• 2+ years working with configuration and monitoring technologies such Ansible, Telegraf, Grafana
• 2+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map (RQO)
• 1 year experience working in an AGILE DEVOPS framework

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
