The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Duluth, a 200-congregant faith community, has an opening for a part time Music Director.
This 15 hour per week position creates, develops, plans and coordinates most music programming for worship services, life celebrations, and general public events that the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Duluth (UUCD) congregation hosts. This position has a collaborative/shared ministry relationship with the minister in using music to support the spiritual development and mission of the congregation and also works in a teamwork environment with other staff members.
Required Qualifications:
* Keyboard musician with choral and performance experience.
* Demonstrated leadership skills in choir directing.
Desired Qualifications
* Post-Secondary Degree in Music Performance, Music Therapy or Music Education or equivalent experience
* Experience in creating and/or facilitation music programming in a religious community.
* Demonstrated effective communication with staff teams or with congregants.
Compensation:
$14,161 per year
